Stalking the Prettiest of Pretties
It’s hard to do traditional Christmas colours while keeping some originality. It’s so easy to start down the slippery slope of ‘festive delights.’ One moment you are contemplating adding a couple holly berries to your bouquet, the next your guests all have cracker hats on and you’re entering the room to ‘The Most Wonderful Time of the Year.’
Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m no grinch, in fact I LOVE Christmas, it’s just that I think sticking too closely to a time period can really date a wedding, even if that time period comes every year. It’s all too easy to be kitschy and that’s fine if that’s your thing. But here are a few ideas if you’re looking to steer well clear of holly and ivy.
p.s. I love peonies as an alternative to roses in a red bouquet.
