Stalking the Prettiest of Pretties

Sunday’s Favourite Things

In honour of the fact that my gorgeous god-daughter is turning 7 today, I think you should introduce a bit of birthday party magic to your wedding day. Play pass the parcel at each table to help break the ice, the innards don’t need to be expensive, people just love winning! If you want to take it up a notch, how about using furoshiki as your method of wrapping, each layer is a gift.

You’ve never played pass-the-parcel? It’s a staple kids party game! You all sit in a circle and pass a parcel that’s been wrapped in a gazillion layers of wrapping paper to music. When the music stops, the person who has the parcel unwraps a layer. Some people play it with a little present in every layer and a big one at the end, some with only the big central present.
