Stalking the Prettiest of Pretties
So you’re a bride. But you don’t do dresses. You are dreading the idea of getting into a huge-ass confection of tulle and petticoat and lace and all the trimmings. But do you have any other option?

Easy and truthful answer is yes. You can be as different as you want to be on your wedding day, just see Rock’N’Roll Bride or Off-Beat Bride for inspiration! Before you give up on dresses though, I would encourage you to have at least one appointment with a great bridal shop. Although you normally hate dresses, you could be soon singing a different song. A lot of people say the fact that they are getting married really hits home the first time they try on their wedding dress. So you should try it to make sure you aren’t passing up a once in a lifetime opportunity too early.
If you’ve tried some gowns on and still hate them, you still have loads of options left. How about a lighter, shorter dress, a pair of pallazo pants or skirt and top or even a structured suit, like this Armani number, pictured? Pop over to Pinterest to see some alternative options getting comfy along with more traditional options: here.
Although I had every intention of bringing you a new real life Irish wedding every week, it’s actually kinda difficult to do! So while I’m still going to bring you as many beautiful weddings as I possibly can, I will make some room for other posts on Wednesdays.
Who doesn’t love a good nose around online shops? I definitely do, so thought I could start bringing you some of the beautiful gowns I see on my travels. Today we have this absolutely stunning gown from Posh Girl Vintage. Although it is yellow, it would still make the most beautiful wedding dress. It’s vintage and lace without being twee, it has something of the ballerina about it without being overly girly and it has a teeny yellow flower. I love it with a lot of my heart right now.
