All about Airmail. Inspiration Board {57}

I know that this isn’t the first time I’ve put the red, white and blue combination together, but I don’t care. I love it. It is such a timeless look. It can be preppy or vintage or all new, depending on how you work it. And how would you work it? With white flowers tied by red and blue ribbon? Using old Coca Cola bottle caps to create boutonnieres? Or, my favourite – white dress, navy blue shoes and a flash of Christian Louboutin red sole?

Feeling Red Hot in February. Inspiration Board {56}

Happy February! Continuing my shameless stealth of the ‘Colour of the Month’ idea, I present to you: the colour RED!

Long associated with love, red is actually the primal bridal colour in Indian weddings and is very popular with western weddings as well. I’m kicking off this month with only a few words, but a pretty inspiration board of cherry and taupe to get your juices flowing.

The Artist inspiration board {55}

Have you seen the Artist yet? I do recommend it, even if it is for the sheer prettiness of it all. We went on a bit of a special date and saw it at the Tyneside Cinema which is a beautiful old cinema which boasts lots of vintage details and brings you right back to that early silver screen era.

I couldn’t help but create an inspiration board as soon as I came home.

Stunning, non? And that isn’t a patch on the film itself. I think I found a new favourite wedding dress (it changes weekly) in the nightdress that Peppy wears in a later scene. I adore. Please see it as soon as possible!!

Oh and come back tomorrow for the usual weekly board. As it’s the first Thursday in February, I will be introducing this month’s colour – red!

Miami Lights: Inspiration Board {54}

Last in this month’s white boards and the feature colour takes a back seat. This board is based on what I imagine Miami looks a bit like. Faded glory in ice-cream shades of aqua, pink, duck egg blue and sun bleached white.
